Q. Is my MasterMoney Card a credit card?
No. It is an enhanced Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association ATM card that can be used for payment on purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted…. Just like a credit card is accepted… however, your purchases are being withdrawn from your Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association primary Checking/N.O.W. account.
Q. Where can I use my MasterMoney card?
You can use your new card anywhere MasterCard credit cards are accepted; retail stores, restaurants, supermarkets, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, etc. In fact, your card can be used at millions of locations around the world! In addition, since your MasterMoney card is “an enhanced ATM Card”, you can use it at thousands of ATMs displaying the NYCE, CIRRUS or SUMSM network logos.
Q. How do I use my MasterMoney Card?
When purchasing an item or service, it’s as simple as using your credit card. When you make your purchase, you will sign a sales slip. The purchase amount will be withdrawn from the available funds (up to your daily card limit) in your Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association primary Checking/N.O.W. account. At an ATM, use your MasterMoney Card just as you would use an ATM Card. There is a $500 daily limit for cash withdrawals and a $1,000 daily limit on MasterMoney purchases.
Q. What are the benefits of using my new MasterMoney Card?
The conveniences are many. There’s no need to carry your checkbook or to spend time writing checks. You won’t need credit cards, identification, or lots of cash. Your MasterMoney Card is all you need! It’s a money saver too! There are no monthly or annual fees, no finance charges (other institutions may charge a fee for using their ATMs) and no credit card bills!
Q. Can I purchase gasoline with my Debit Card?
Each station has established its own procedures. Check with the attendant for instructions.
Q. How do I keep track of my purchases?
You will receive a receipt with each MasterMoney Card purchase and ATM transaction. You should record each amount in your check register. All purchases and ATM transactions will be listed on your monthly Checking Account statement. You can also view your Checking Account balance and transactions through online banking.
Q. What if I want to return a purchase made with my MasterMoney Card?
No problem! It’s just like you’re returning merchandise purchased with a credit card. Just be sure to save your receipt in case you need to return an item. Your rights relating to funds and returned merchandise are the same as when you pay with cash or checks. You must resolve issues of this type directly with the merchant. It is the merchant’s own policy on refunds and returns that govern these transactions.
Q. What accounts can I access?
For ATM use, you will be able to access the Checking/N.O.W. and Statement Savings accounts you designated on your application. MasterMoney Card purchases will be withdrawn only from your Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association primary Checking/N.O.W. account.
Q. What about fees?
There are no fees when you make MasterMoney purchases which require entering your Personal Identification Number, or PIN, rather than signing a receipt. Please consult our current fee schedule for more information.
Q. Can both my spouse and I have our own MasterMoney cards?
Certainly, as long as each of you qualify, fill out, and sign an application.
Q. What happens if my card is lost or stolen?
Contact our Hot Line immediately by calling (800) 554-8969. We will stop the use of your card and order you a new one. For more detailed information, please refer to your Customer Agreement.
Q. What should I do if I can’t remember my personal identification number, or if my card’s magnetic stripe is damaged?
Simply stop by one of our convenient locations during normal business hours. We will be more than happy to re-pin or reorder your card. As a precaution, you should always be sure to replace your card in your wallet or protective case so that the magnetic stripe does not get marred or damaged.
